Fabulous Freebies

So one of the biggest perks about working for a clothing retailer is that there are samples. And samples means sample sales or if you're really lucky - chuckout! Chuckout is usually defined by a big heap of old samples and scrabbling women frantically trying to grab as much as humanly possible. Imagine a sale in a shop but with everyone knowing they dont have to pay for anything.

Chuckout Rules after 5 years i am a pro - these could even apply to a Sample Sale (ala Confessions of a Shopaholic, god i love that film!)

* If you see something you even slightly think looks interesting or fabulous...grab it. Its not going to be there when you change your mind.

* Don't be patient and wait your turn. Get stuck in there, elbows at the ready, feet planted! These are bargains we are talking about!

* Once you have satisfied the need and have got an armful now its time to find a corner to review. Is it damaged, poor fitting or just generally nasty. No one wants to carry stuff home to realise its essentially rubbish.

* Always have a last scout of the demolished pile. Things can get lost underneath or discarded and you could find some really nice bits!

So just as i was leaving the office an email went out. Off we rushed and here is what i grabbed. What do you think? They've got potential for some cute outfits if i don't say so myself!

Cute little shorts which Bean then had to inspect.

A cute little floral style kimono and  a navy and gold military jacket with zip detailing.

And these look way wider than they are, tapered red trousers with a tan belt!
